Wendy Davis is an author, attorney, former senator and was Texas’ 2014 Democratic gubernatorial candidate. She entered the national spotlight during her historic filibuster, in which she stood for 13 hours to protest a bill that would sharply restrict women’s access to safe, legal abortion. She continues to fight for women’s economic and social justice.
