Emmy Host Neil Patrick Harris Sings Mid-Show Number, Twitter Rejoices

Citing apparent Twitter outrage (of which we are guilty), Emmy host/singing and dancing machine Neil Patrick Harris sang and danced his heart out in a mid-show number.

Sarah Silverman and Nathan Fillion made cameos in the performance, which was rather drab despite an abundance of glittery gold dresses. Silverman managed to slip in a casual "vagina" joke.

A self-described "arbitrary number in the middle of the show," the interlude was peppy but still couldn't hold a candle to Neil's Tony opener. But then again, could anything?
